We leveraged Shop3D.ca’s strengths of having full production equipment and strong relationships with the customer base to launch Talk3D: a 3D printing video podcast. This podcast focuses on showcasing Canadian B2B and educational applications for 3D printing and similar technologies. As an advertising platform we’re able to showcase Shop3D.ca’s broad customer base and the products they are using, but it also ties in with Shop3D.ca’s brand pillars of educational content and furthering additive manufacturing in Canada.
We wanted Talk3D to be one step away from the Shop3D.ca brand, allowing it to have some credibility as a podcast. So it was important to develop a unique brand identity and custom landing page, while still relating some elements to Shop3D.ca.
Challenges
- Developing a Unique Identity: One step away from Shop3D.ca but stands on it’s own as a brand, with unique elements that can carry across a microsite, banners, emails, social media, motion graphics and thumbnails.
- Curating a Guestlist: Identifying and contacting customers with unique use cases and coordinating when they could come into our studio. Eventually we utilized Riverside.fm for long-distance interviews. We coordinated with our suppliers to reward brand ambassadors with product and discounts.
- Avoiding NDA breaches: We developed an approval process so that guests and their parent companies could sign off on the content.
