Founded in 1999, Mississauga Humane Society (MHS) is a non-profit, no-kill charity with a mission to help as many animals as possible. Over the last four years, MHS has undergone significant leadership changes, with the new team focusing on three key pillars: Financial Transparency, Excellent Animal Care, and Advocacy & Education, especially in the areas of spay/neuter programs and animal welfare.
MHS was brought on as a client of Rule1 Agency. I was Creative Director on this project, writing the creative brief and meeting with stakeholders while directing a team of designers.
Challenges
- Biggest Impact: The client has a lot of needs, we’ll need to identify what is important.
- Low Resources: The brand guidelines and assets need to be accessible for new volunteers to use effectively.
- Cohesion: Identifying what elements of the brand should be maintained
Goals
- Refresh their brand, showcasing their new identity
- Identify their core pillars and build it into their communication
- Refresh their website with a focus on driving action
- Get MHS a Home: a physical location
